HISTORY PROJECT

4 on the Fourth runners, spectators, and volunteers – we want to see your old pictures!

As we approach the 50th running of the 4 on the Fourth Road Race in 2026, we are collecting images, memories, and stories about the race. We are creating an archive of this historic race, and want to include as many people as we can!

We are particularly interested in photos from 1977-2005.

How to participate:

  • Have old photos that are not digitized? We’ll scan them for you! Put them in an envelope with your name, phone number, email address and mailing address – we will send them back or organize pick up. Drop them off in the Memory Box at the Registration Tent on July 3 and July 4, 2025, or throughout the year at the Bridgton Public Library.
  • Do you have old shirts, bibs, or other memorabilia? Or simply have questions about this project? Get in touch with us at 4onthefourthhistory@gmail.com and we can make arrangements.

Note: by sharing your photographs with us, you are giving us permission to use them on the Bridgton 4 on the Fourth’s website, social media, and in an upcoming history book.
